Handshake is Troy University’s career management system which provides a centralized location for employers interested in hiring Troy students and graduates to interact with those students who are searching for jobs and internships. Students can view and apply for opportunities they are interested in by uploading their resume in the system. Other features include the ability for employers to register for career fairs and campus recruiting events, thereby allowing the students to view who is attending and research those companies in advance. Faculty are encouraged to create an account in Handshake which will allow them to become familiar with the employers recruiting their students as well as familiarize themselves with the system so they can encourage their students to utilize it.

The People Admin Employment System allows Troy supervisors to manage positions, review applications, and fill vacancies online. Your TROY Office 365 account provides much more than just email. Powerful calendar features are also included. In this session, you’ll learn how these features can help you effectively schedule meetings with attendees inside and outside TROY, add rooms to meetings, manage your calendar on a mobile device, integrate your personal calendar (perhaps managed with Google or another third-party provider), and share your calendar securely with select co-workers. The 2018 IT Summit will be held in the new University Park IT Annex at University Park. This technological building is a joint venture between Troy University and the City of Troy.


Who We Are

IT manages a number of systems at Troy University, including, but not limited to, the central computing facility, network infrastructure, helpdesk, data security, document imaging, web services, electronic communications and enterprise-level systems and instructional tools. The Helpdesk operated by the Information Technology department assists the university community with various computer difficulties.

Parking will be available at the University Park IT Annex. There is also limited parking available at University Park. Flags will be posted at the entrance to the parking facility, positioned on the north (rear) side of the complex. IT staff will assist with onsite directions to the conference center. No. Many sessions are offered at multiple times. Build your schedule based on your training interests and availability.

Yes. Proper registration of all participants will allow us to align resources accordingly.
